The most impressive day in New York!

Sorry, i was so tired yesterday, that even was not able to open my laptop to write smth here. Now it is 11.06 - 9:15 am. In couple of hours we need to leave this hotel, and i got online to refresh my blog and to describe, what a crazy day we had yesterday)

Well, my last pics yesterday were from our morning, when we decided to eat a simple american Hotdog. We went outside just to have a morning run. Going straight the 33 street we came to the west shore of Manhettan. There was an amazing view there. Taking pictures of the gulf and also of the early NY. BTW, as i said when we came NY was very dirty city. In the morning, idk why, but streets were clean. It was like a mistery. 5 hours ago, avenues were full of rubish, but during the night Rubbish cars took all rubish. So, -1 disadvantage in NY. On the way to shore we saw a bycicles for rent, we decided to rent it defenitely. We thought it would be amazing to travel through NY on a bike. Going back to the hotel, we had a lunch in subway. Actually, their subs are the same as in Moscow. 1 tasty thing in Subway, that we dont have - Cherry cola)) <3 

Came to the hotel, we had an orientation. I cant say, that it was very useful, but i really liked a fireman, who told us how to deal with fire, about smoke detectors, about alarms and so on. His english was awesome. I liked his accent :P I wish i have the same in 3 month. We bought tickets to Empire state and Madame Tuso museum and then decided to  go to the security card office. It was already 12:30. This office is closed at 3:30 pm. So we had not so much time to do it. We decided to take a cycle tour to this office. We came to the rental parking, but then we were very dissapointed((( Unfortunately, we could pay for it only by Master Card, but we had only VISA. We asked for people to help us, to use their Master Card, and we would give them cash. They were looking at us like at thiefs. So, our dream to cross Manhatten on a bike didnt come true. I hope, coming back to NY, we will have Master card - and we will travel in NY on this City Bike. Well, we had no time to take long decisions, and we decided to go to Bruklin office by foot. Aahhahahahahh, we really thought that we will be their in time. Now i can see a map, and i understand, that we couldnt even came to bruklin bridge at 3:30. We were in hurry, but neverthless, we were taking pics of all sites. We were going along the western shore of Manhattun, going to southern side of it. Skyscrappers appeared in front of us. Later we learned that is was WTC. World trading center. 

At this moment we realised that we were late at security cards office. Neverthless, we were not sad, coz we had 1 more day to do it. We decided to have a break, going to BK. You know, McDonalds was really worth than in Moscow, but BK was even better than in our capital. I took wooper meal and a delicious biscuit woth mm&s - all this cost 14 $. Not too cheap, but it worth it. Having dinner in it, we remembered about Wall street - world know steet of finaancial and bussiness. We were surprised to see it in 1 block from us. New York stock exchange building was great! How many movies were casted near it! Walking throught the Wall street, Vlad suddenly exclaimed: We definetly need to find a bull. I have never heard about it, but he was so impressed by it, that we went to find it. Photos with bull eggs are amazing! LOL. There is a tradition, one who will touch bull eggs, will be successful in bussiness. There were a museum of indian culture straight in front of bull with free admission. It was a real chance for us! Got aquanted with its culture we saw the waters near us. Amazing view on bruklin make us came closer to the shore. It was the southern manhattan, with ports, ferries and scycrappers. Suddenly we saw a big orange ferry, coming. We even didnt know, what is his destination))) But it was free, and it is the sighn for every Russian to take it:P Ferry was really huge. The day was hot, but strong wind on ferry made us feeel cool.

What an amazing view was from it, when it started to move. Gorgeous view on Bruklin, Bruklin bridge, Manhattan and..... Statue of liberty!!!!!! It was just in hundred metres from us, the most famous site of America! This ferry had destination in Staten island. It was so far from our hotel, that we couldnt even saw Empire state building. On this island we met a nice chineese) We asked her about site to visit now, and have recieved a 15 mins answer :P We took a ferry back to New York and decided to follow her advice.

NY - first and middle impression

WE ARE IN NY!!!!! We were so amazed by different culture of this city. Took our luggage and then went outside to w8 for a bus. We were watching passer bys, cars. All were so different, we foreighners in this American world ) Taking photos of every moment in NY, my cell phone was dead in 15 mins :) Our bus came to us in 15 minutes. We got on the bus and was w8ing to watch every scenery of NY)) Honestly speaking, after such a good first impression of NY and its culture, we got a bad impression of its roads. Roads are awful. We always say that we have bad roads in Russia. Comparing to NY roads they are - exellent. Anyway, we got a lot of cool pictures during our trip to the hotel. Pic of Bruklin bridge, Empire State building, and other ordinary pics of people and constructions.

The trip from airport to the hotel Pensilvaniya took us about 1 hour. coz of traffic jams. Coming to hotel, some of us were very tired, and gone to sleep ASAP) Some of us, me, Vlad, some guys and girls made an appointement in the hall of the hotel at 8:50 pm, and went to our rooms, to have some rest. Rooms were rather clean, but had a high level of humidity. We all met in the hall just in time and went to sample national cuisine. LOOOOOLL. Came to McDonalds. You will not believe, but i didnt like it! Price of food is higher, than in Russia, but quality is lower. Anyway, wew were too hungry, and had a lunch here, just to have some power to walk in NY) We was a company of 7-8 people, walking throught the NY streets, taking photos of everything. Actually, NY - is very dirty city. Rubish everywhere, rather bad smell in the city. It is not like Moscow. This thing i dont like in NY. We visited Times sqare, different gift shops. Ohhh, what a pharmacy they have in NY. Aahhahahha, in it you cant buy everything - it is lika a small mall in Russia) Alcohole, socks, milk - you can buy here :P It was very weird.

To sum up architectiure of the city is very old, and honestly speaking, mb 5 - 8 years ago it could have impressed people, but not now :( It was first and middle impression of NY. Hope tomorrow we will have better thoughts about it.

After our short trip through the streets of NY, we came to our hotel to do some organisation work. Then all went to sleep, and i now continue writing to you)) I am sorry, i will not be able to add pictures right now, coz i am very tired. I ll do it later. We will have an organisation meeting tomorrow at 9:30 am. Hope we will have all neccessary imformation here) Enjoy reading :P See you later.

Plane - Milan - Plane

Well, i have so mny things to tell you, even that i cant keep it all in my mind))) Now i am going to write it all! Be ready to read  it :P

I finished my diary on moment, when we met a nice girl Sveta in the airport. We were comunicating together, wondering about different countries we visited and so on) Making friends, talking with them - this really could make people happy. 1 hour later a lot of other Interexchange students came to our gate. We were like a team, standing together in a circle, talikng about our universities, about exams, about future trip, and also about number of stars in out USA visa. We just dont know if it is good or not to have more stars on Visa. Ahahahahah, jokes about it, were always following us :P Well, we talked a lot, but then it was time to go to our plane. It was not so big 3 - 3 seats. But it didnt matter, coz we were very tired, not sleeping all day - and as we came to it we fell asleep. I was awake only when pretty Italian Stuardess gave us a lunch :P It was not an ordinary lunch. Cruassan, some fruits, glass of juice and sandwich. We with Vlad ate it and then continued sleeping :)

Came to Milan at 8:30. We were full of power, coz sleeping during all flight. When we got to the airport we saw a small duty free. We were so dissapointed to see such poor shop in such a cool country. We decided to take a leasurely stroll along the airport then, girls we too tired and we go with Vlad alone. We went to the other side of airport, and it was a right decision!!! We found such a big DUTY FREEEEEEEEEE. It was lika a shopping mall, with lots of brands. Here i get aquanted with a nice Italian - Silvia))) She was a seller assistant in a Hour Passion shop. I chose watches to buy in that shop - Swatch. I always wish to buy it. Having very cool mood, we went to eat pizza and ice-cream. Buying M&Ms and Tambleron <3 We had a flight to NY in 13:00. Unfortunately, we was not able to choose our seats on this flight. They were pre-reserved((( So we got our boarding pass tickets and went to plane. I was seating with a cute Italian Family: mother, father, and daughter Anna. They were not speaking english :S. But neverthless we were able to talk in ENG-FRNECH-MIMIC language :P They gifted me a mint chewing gum <3 It was awesome. Btw, our plane to NY was a big Airbus 330, 2 - 4 - 2 seats.The most important thing you need to know - Italian cuisine and juice iare so tasty. We had Pasta - i really liked it. Futhermore, red-orange juice - is delicious. I asked for another glass for 3 times :P Flight was so long - 8 hours (( I was sleeping nearly all the flight again :P Eating - sleeping that only what i`ve done in planes :) BTW, each person on this plane had his personal board computer with games, music camera and so on. It made our flight more uncommon.

Well, it is time to come to NY :P WE LANDED in this wonderfull city))) Check next post :P
